This week Shea and Brandon tackle a double feature of action movies: Adam Wingard's Onslaught and Paul Greengrass's Uprising.

Onslaught gets Dan Stevens going full mad-scientist camp and delivers one genuinely great sequence, but the back half trades badass super soldiers for a trailer park standoff that undercuts everything the first act built.

Uprising takes a medieval uprising-against-the-king premise and turns it into a boring and flat mess made stranger by the fact that its marketing teams panicked and released an alternative title that ruins any sense of this really being something new.

Neither one earns a strong recommendation, but there's plenty to dig into: wasted sequel bait, a Chekhov's gun that never fires, and an unfortunate Gen Z haircut in the 1300s.
